This is an example of interface design that I did for a music player for one of my favorite bands. Sometimes a band offers a player like this on the CD or DVD as an added bonus. I had never seen one for Rammstein and decided to make my own. I wanted it to be animated and interactive. I also wanted to make sure that it was visually compelling for the user. That’s how I got the idea to use the lyrics, both English and German. The project allowed me to include some of the amazing album covers the band has had over the years as backgrounds as well.

This project began as a simple How-to Guide on playing the collectible card game (CCG) Magic the Gathering. What I ended with was a partial design for an digital version of the game. The finished concept has proved to be a very convincing interactive model and has worked great for teaching others how to start playing magic. Using the symbols and some of the cards from the official game, I created a solid interface with original artwork for the background.

This is an example of one of my more experimental web designs. The initial idea I had for this website was to have a very interactive experience with a device that felt like it was sitting on the web page, almost like a widget. It was meant to be very animation heavy with very little of the traditional aspects of html based layouts. This has been my most complicated work to-date and I am extremely proud of how it turned out.
This is an example of interactive design that fits far outside the box of traditional web design. This site was designed as my original portfolio, but proved too difficult to keep updated. Inspired by the amazing interface of the apple iphone, I set out to design a website that was both linear and nonlinear. Using the click and drag function found in Flash, I made a series of images that the user can scroll through with their mouse, as if they were sliding through pages on an iphone. For the more traditional web surfers, I created a nonlinear set of buttons at the bottom that allows them to move through the pages as they like. It was a great success, and proves the potential that flash has in web design, but unfortunately doesn’t allow me to update very easily.
This is an example of a simple game design, using Adobe Flash. It was a project I did for college during my senior year that I felt turned out well. It isn't incredibly fun, but shows strong action script skills.
